The context
This successful UK company with an annual turnover of £17 million wanted to install electric vehicle charging stations (EVCs) as part of the Board’s carbon reduction policy.
SCS asked GRW Energy Cost reduction to review the existing energy demand onsite and assess maximum charging demand for EV charging, along with potential for a billing platform.
GRW carried out an in-depth power analysis of the site, as well as supporting SCS with applications for government grants.
Leaner and greener
Following acceptance of our recommendations, we installed quality EO charging points featuring an integrated smart app to manage load and billing. Heavy duty (SWA) cabling with internal data links allow the internet connectivity these charging points need, and they are fully RCD earthed and protected. We also reduced the company’s energy spend and supported their green credentials by using a green energy supplier.
Excellent results
SCS now has the benefit of smart EV charging points that not only serve their staff, customers and visitors but also reduce the company’s carbon emissions with additional cost savings on its new green energy tariff.
